Apple Said To Be Talking To Intel And Samsung About Building Key Device Processors

Apple is in early talks with Intel and Samsung about making some future chips, as it looks to reduce its dependence on TSMC.

Bloomberg says Apple recently visited Samsung’s Texas chip facility and discussed Intel’s upcoming 14A process, but no orders have been placed.

TSMC is still expected to supply Apple’s near-term iPhone 18 chips, including the A20 and A20 Pro.

If the talks lead to orders, the move could reshape Apple’s chip supply chain and strengthen Intel and Samsung.
