Nintendo unveiled Pictonico, a free mobile game that turns users’ photos into mini-games.

The app launches May 28 on iOS and Android, with a free demo and additional paid content volumes.

Its photo-driven, WarioWare-style format broadens Nintendo’s mobile lineup in an unusual new direction.

The announcement comes as longtime WarioWare director Goro Abe has left the company.
