Sony announces price hikes for PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal

Sony announced price increases for PlayStation hardware includes PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal.

Set the revised pricing to take effect starting April 2026 and applied globally.

PlayStation models (U.S.) specified approximate U.S. price increases, pS5 models about $100, PS5 Pro up to $150, Portal about $50.

Sony attributed the price changes to economic pressures cited inflation, component costs, and supply chain challenges.

Previously raised PS5 prices in 2025 company increased PS5 prices earlier in 2025.
