NASA Astronaut Returns Home After 3,856 Orbits of Earth

NASA astronaut Chris Williams safely returned to Earth after an eight-month mission aboard the International Space Station.

He landed in Kazakhstan on Soyuz MS-28 with Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev after 241 days in orbit.

The crew completed science experiments, technology demonstrations, and station maintenance during the long-duration flight.

The mission adds to ISS research that supports medical advances, space manufacturing, and NASA’s Artemis and Mars plans.
