FF14 Bastion is our first new Evercold job — here's everything Yoshi-P announced in the Fanfest Berlin keynote

At FF14 Fan Fest Berlin 2026, Naoki Yoshida revealed Evercold and introduced Bastion, a new tank job for the next expansion.

Bastion uses dual gunshields called Skyltborg, can swap between melee and cannon modes, and starts at level 90 in Evolved Mode.

Yoshida also outlined major 8.0 features, including the Fourth reflection, realmships, new zones, and an early story preview in patch 7.56.

The showcase highlighted parts of the expansion’s world such as Aerslaent’s Northern Empty, Naglfar, Falgarthr, and Hringhorni, with large and varied areas planned.
