iOS 18.7.7 is Out: The “DarkSword” Patch for Everyone Refusing iOS 26

Apple has released iOS 18.7.7 for users who chose to stay on iOS 18 instead of moving to iOS 26.

The "Dark Sword" update focuses on security, patching vulnerabilities including the Dark Sword exploit that threatened user data.

Compatible devices include iPhone XR, XS, XS Max and newer through iPhone 16 Pro Max, and iPads running iPadOS 18.

Build number is 22H340; update size varies by device from about 570 MB to 1 GB; device must be running iOS 18 to install.

Apple patched WebKit and strengthened the Apple Key Store; install with a stable Wi‑Fi connection and sufficient battery.
