This New Under-The-Radar Steam Demo Turns Match-3 Into A Frenetic Arcade Roguelike

Regal Pigeon has released a Steam demo for Chivalware, a compact roguelike that mixes match-3 tile matching with real-time battles.

Players connect tiles on an 8x4 grid to charge weapons, then carry roguelike-style progression between fights.

The demo is praised for its presentation and fast combat, though the puzzle layer still feels limited.

Chivalware is planned for release by the end of 2026, following Regal Pigeon’s earlier roguelike Neophyte.
