PlayStation Plus is going up in price for new members

Sony will raise PlayStation Plus Essential prices for new subscribers starting May 20 in select regions.

The new rates are $10.99 for one month and $27.99 for three months.

Existing subscribers are mostly exempt unless their plan changes or expires, with Turkey and India as exceptions.

Sony said the increase reflects ongoing market conditions amid broader gaming industry price pressure.
