Android Auto bug is making the signal icon vanish for some users

A bug is causing the cellular signal icon to disappear from some users' Android Auto car displays.

The issue does not affect connectivity: calls, mobile data, and navigation continue to work normally.

Reports link the problem to Android Auto version 16.5 and some users say downgrading to v16.3 fixes it.
