Gemini can now summarize the messiest comment threads in Google Docs

Google Docs is adding Gemini-powered tools that summarize comment threads across a document and organize feedback by reviewer or theme.

The update can surface unresolved issues, draft replies in comment threads, suggest edits, and link relevant files from Google Drive.

Rollout began July 28 and is limited to users on qualifying paid Workspace or Google AI plans with edit access.

The features are meant to save time for editors and help teams act on feedback faster.
