Several porn sites fail to protect minors on their platforms, EU Commission says

The European Commission says Pornhub, Stripchat, XNXX and XVideos failed to adequately protect minors from pornographic content.

The EU found the sites relied on weak age-verification and other safeguards that could let children access adult material.

The assessment, under the Digital Services Act, suggests the platforms put business concerns ahead of child-safety risks.

The companies can respond in writing, and the Commission could later impose penalties of up to 6% of global annual turnover.
