Xreal unveils new budget AR glasses with swappable looks

Xreal unveiled the a01, a $299 pair of USB-C tethered display glasses under its new X by Xreal sub-brand.

The a01 launches first in China, then in the U.S. in July, and will compete with TCL’s similarly priced RayNeo Air 4 Pro.

Compared with pricier Xreal models, the a01 has a narrower field of view and fewer features, but adds up to 1,600 nits of brightness, HDR10, and anti-shake video smoothing.

The glasses also support snap-on interchangeable faceplates, giving Xreal a more customizable design at a lower entry price.
