Netflix finally opens to proper theatrical releases, starting with the next “Narnia” film

Netflix will give Greta Gerwig’s The Magician’s Nephew a wide theatrical release on Feb. 12, 2026, with exclusive play in theaters until April 2.

That creates a 45-day window before streaming, marking one of Netflix’s biggest moves toward a traditional movie rollout.

The shift suggests stronger support for theaters and could signal broader use of theatrical windows for Netflix’s biggest films.
