Video: US firm showcases laminar-flow in drone flight, advances 90-year-old science

Otto Aerospace completed a successful unmanned EWA drone flight test in New Mexico.

The campaign validated the company’s laminar-flow design predictions and produced data for DARPA’s Energy Web Aircraft program.

The results also support Otto’s own aircraft development, including the Phantom 3500.

If scaled, the technology could improve drone endurance, energy-relay systems, and commercial jet efficiency.
