Former Nintendo Sales Lead Thinks Switch 2 Price Increase Is "Inevitable"

A former Nintendo sales lead told the Kit & Krysta podcast he expects Switch 2 hardware prices to rise eventually.

He cited inflation, tariffs, memory price increases, and rising oil-linked helium costs as drivers of higher hardware and cartridge prices.

Nintendo has cut some digital Switch 2 game prices in North America and Canada and raised accessory prices in August 2025, while president Shuntaro Furukawa said any price increase would be "carefully considered."
