Anthropic drops $400 million in shares on an eight-month-old AI pharma startup with fewer than ten employees

Anthropic acquired AI biotech startup Coefficient Bio for about $400 million in shares.

Coefficient Bio was eight months old and had fewer than ten employees at the time of purchase.

The acquired team will join Anthropic's Healthcare and Life Sciences division under Eric Kauderer-Abrams.

Dimension, which owned about half the startup, reported a 38,513% return from the deal.
