Mistral expands from AI models to industry and infrastructure

Mistral is expanding beyond AI models into industrial AI tools, enterprise software, and European infrastructure.

At its AI NOW Summit, the company unveiled products tied to simulation and design workflows, plus plans for new European AI data centers.

It also renamed its business assistant and is consolidating model offerings, incorporating capabilities from its Emmi AI acquisition.

The strategy targets businesses and governments that want local control, on-premises deployment, and less dependence on U.S. cloud providers.
