Vice Premier Bae Kyung-hoon: "AI DC Alliance, the starting point for becoming a global intelligence exporting nation"

At the AI DC Alliance launch, Vice Minister Bae Kyung-hoon said AI data centers should be developed into “token factories” to help turn Korea into an exporter in the AI era.

He stressed that semiconductors, data-center infrastructure, domestic NPU development, and public-private cooperation are essential to building AI competitiveness.

Bae said the next 3 to 5 years will be the decisive window for securing Korea’s AI edge, with support for power and water also needed.

The alliance will be run by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the private sector as co-chairs, with 12 member companies leading working groups and task forces.
