Googlebook laptops will come in multiple chip options beyond just Intel, and that’s a relief

Google said Googlebook laptops will ship with processors from Intel, Qualcomm, and MediaTek instead of depending on a single chip vendor.

The company will also set hardware rules for memory, storage, and keyboard layouts to keep the lineup consistent.

Google teased features like Magic Pointer and widget creation, while pricing remains unknown.

The Googlebook launch is still planned for fall 2026, with partners including Lenovo, Acer, Asus, HP, and Dell.
