Kash Patel's personal email account was accessed by hackers linked to Iran

Hackers linked to Iran known as Handala accessed and published content from FBI Director Kash Patel's personal email account.

TechCrunch verified some stolen emails came from Patel's account using email header data and cryptographic signatures.

The FBI confirmed the account was hacked, said the material is historical and not government-related, and offered up to $10 million for information on the attackers.

Reports link Handala to Iranian cyberintelligence units and say the group claimed prior attacks including one on Stryker and data from Lockheed Martin employees.
