OpenAI Moves Codex to Pay-as-You-Go; Lowers Business Prices

Codex launched a usage-based pricing plan that charges by token consumption and has no usage limits.

All Codex features are available to ChatGPT Business and Enterprise users without a fixed fee.

The change is intended to make budget, workflow, and team cost management easier; Codex users in ChatGPT Business and Enterprise have grown sixfold since January.

ChatGPT Business annual price was cut from $25 to $20 per license; a limited-time credit is being offered for teams starting Codex: $100 per user, up to $500 per team.

ChatGPT now supports Apple CarPlay, allowing voice mode on vehicle displays and rolling out to iPhone users on iOS 26.4 or later.
