Subnautica 2 devs revive a cut Subnautica feature for the sequel

Unknown Worlds says Subnautica 2 will enter early access on May 14 with support for up to four-player co-op.

Co-op was once considered for the original Subnautica, but technical limits at the time kept it out.

For the sequel, the studio built both solo and multiplayer support from the start.

The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5, which enables more interactive systems than earlier entries.
