WhatsApp Web finally lets your laptop handle calls instead of forcing you back to your phone

WhatsApp Web is adding voice and video calling for one-on-one and group chats, with a wider rollout now underway after testing.

The update includes call transfer, a new Calls tab, waiting room controls, QuickHD, screen sharing, and noise suppression.

Calls remain end-to-end encrypted, removing a major limitation and making WhatsApp Web more competitive with Zoom and Google Meet.
