With iOS 27, Shortcuts is about to become what it was always meant to be

Apple is reportedly testing an AI-assisted overhaul of Shortcuts for iOS 27.

Users could describe a task in plain language, and Apple would generate and install the automation for them.

The change would make Shortcuts much easier for everyday users while keeping it powerful for advanced workflows.

If it ships, the feature could push Apple automation closer to the mainstream across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
