Fortnite's AI-generated brainrot characters are here, and I hate it

Fortnite added two new AI-origin 'brainrot' skins, Ballerina Cappuccina and Tung Tung Tung Sahur, to its Item Shop.

The skins cost 1,500 V-Bucks each, with related pickaxes and wraps priced between 500 and 800 V-Bucks; the full bundle is 2,400 V-Bucks ($22.99/£17.49).

Epic Games recently laid off 1,000 employees and CEO Tim Sweeney cited a downturn in Fortnite engagement beginning in 2025.

The characters had a brief tease in a Chapter 7 Season 2 live-action trailer, and it's unclear whether Epic used AI to build the in-game models.
