1X Kicks Off Full-Scale Production Of Humanoid Robot Neo

1X says its Hayward, California factory has begun full-scale production of Neo, its home humanoid robot.

The company says it has already secured 10,000 pre-orders and still plans to start shipping by the end of 2026.

1X aims to scale output to 100,000 units a year by the end of 2027, helped by more automation and a second facility.

The move marks a shift from prototypes to mass manufacturing in humanoid robotics, with 1X betting on vertical integration and home use cases.
