Android might finally have an answer to the iPad mini, and with an OLED screen on top

A leak says OnePlus is working on a global compact Android tablet with an 8.8-inch OLED display and 144Hz refresh rate.

The device is tipped to use Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, an 8,000mAh battery, and 67W fast charging.

If true, it could launch in Q3 2026 and give Android a premium compact tablet built to challenge the iPad mini.

The rumored model would expand beyond gaming-focused small tablets and target mainstream users seeking a high-end portable slate.
