China's space industry is ready to take the next step: a superfactory to mass-produce rockets

CAS Space has finished a Shaoxing “superfactory” for the Kinetica-2 liquid-fueled rocket.

The site combines parts fabrication, final assembly, and testing in one industrial workflow.

After a multi-year ramp-up, the plant is designed to produce up to 12 rockets a year.

The project marks a shift from one-off missions toward repeatable rocket manufacturing in China.

That could increase launch cadence, lower costs, and strengthen China’s commercial space sector.
