Google takes on OpenClaw with Gemini Spark, a 24/7 AI agent for your digital life

Google unveiled Gemini Spark, a 24/7 background AI agent in the Gemini app that can act across users’ digital lives with approval.

It connects with Google services like Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, YouTube, and Maps, plus third-party apps such as Canva, OpenTable, and Instacart.

The agent runs on cloud virtual machines and is designed for ongoing, agentic workflows, including email summaries and calendar scheduling.

Google says it will first reach trusted testers, then US Google AI Ultra subscribers, as the company pushes deeper into personal assistant territory.
