Google Home update delivers huge automation expansion, Nest Cam upgrades for all

Google Home is expanding automations from Early Access to all users, adding more starters, conditions, and actions across security, appliances, lighting, media, and device health.

Nest Cam is also getting a redesigned player, smoother timeline navigation, event filtering, faster scrolling, and cleanup for the Familiar Faces library.

Older pre-2021 Nest cameras will gain Gemini-generated event descriptions, though some features still require Google Home Premium.

The update makes Google Home routines more powerful and Nest Cam monitoring easier for more users.
