XChat is now available on the iOS store

X has launched XChat as a standalone iPhone app on the iOS App Store after pre-orders.

The app emphasizes end-to-end encrypted messaging, no ads, no tracking, and other privacy tools.

X is also shutting down its Communities feature on May 30 to make room for larger group chats.

The move signals a sharper shift toward private messaging and more direct competition with WhatsApp and Telegram.
