Wear OS 7 is finally bringing proper Android widgets to your wrist

Google unveiled Wear OS 7 at I/O, built on Android 17, with new Wear Widgets in small and large sizes.

Live Updates will replace Ongoing Activities, giving watches real-time status cards for things like rides, deliveries, and health apps.

Gemini integration adds agentic voice actions on the watch, letting users trigger tasks more naturally.

The developer release is available now, with a broader rollout planned for later in 2026.
