Modder Releases Loader To Turn The PS5 Into A Linux System

Modder Andy Nguyen released a GitHub loader that enables Linux on certain disc-drive PS5 consoles.

The exploit appears to work on PS5 systems running firmware 3.xx or 4.xx, with possible support for other versions later.

The result is a Steam Machine-style setup that expands console modding beyond PCs and Valve hardware.

Support is currently limited, but it highlights ongoing homebrew and jailbreak activity around Sony consoles.
