Qualcomm's latest chips may transform future low-cost phones

Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, two 4nm chips for affordable smartphones.

Both chips promise better CPU and GPU performance, improved efficiency, and expanded camera and gaming features.

They also add newer connectivity like Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and upgraded 5G support.

Phones with the new chips are expected in the second half of 2026, with Honor, Oppo, Realme, and Redmi among the adopters.
