Google takes a page out of Meta’s book, announces new audio-powered smart glasses

At Google I/O, Google unveiled new AI-powered audio smart glasses with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster.

The glasses are being developed with Samsung and are designed to work with Android, iOS, and Gemini later this year.

Users will be able to control apps and services by speaking to the glasses, making them more voice-driven wearables.

The launch marks Google’s renewed push into smart glasses and raises pressure on Meta and other rivals.
