New EU rules stall due to lack of data center data

In the EU’s first reporting round under the revised Energy Efficiency Directive, many large data centers failed to submit complete, reliable data on power, water, and sustainability.

The result is a fragmented European database that is difficult to use for comparing energy use, water consumption, and environmental performance across the sector.
