Apple Upgrade Is a Subscription Program for the Company's Devices

Apple has launched Apple Upgrade in the US, letting customers lease iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, and Macs for a monthly fee and then upgrade, buy, or return them.

The new program replaces the iPhone Upgrade Program and is administered by Klarna, with eligibility checks and optional AppleCare.

Lease lengths and starting prices vary by device, expanding Apple’s monthly-payment model across more of its hardware lineup.

The move could make Apple devices more accessible while increasing reliance on financing and changing how customers upgrade over time.
