Stan Lee’s Voice and Likeness Have Been Sold to an AI Company for Audiobooks and Comic Slop

ElevenLabs has licensed Stan Lee’s voice and likeness from Stan Lee Universe for use in AI-generated content.

The deal will support narrated audiobooks, comic-panel generation, and a monthly book-club series, starting with Treasure Island.

It marks a major expansion of posthumous AI use of a celebrity identity, beyond other licensed voices and likenesses.

The agreement raises fresh questions about consent, legacy control, and the commercialization of deceased public figures.
