Google's Circle to Search Feature Can Tell You If an Image Was AI-Generated

Google is expanding SynthID image detection beyond Gemini to Search, Chrome, Lens, and Circle to Search.

The tools can now help identify AI-generated or AI-edited images and show more origin details when available.

Google is also widening content credentials support across Pixel devices and its apps.

Partners including OpenAI, Kakao, and ElevenLabs plan to adopt SynthID-related technology.

The update improves image provenance checks, though detection will still be limited outside Google’s ecosystem.
