Sony has secured PS5 memory through fiscal 2026; shipments in Q1 of fiscal 2026 fell to 1.6 million units from 2.5 million a year earlier

Sony said it has secured enough memory for PS5 production through fiscal 2026, easing supply concerns.

PS5 shipments in fiscal Q1 2026 fell to 1.6 million units from 2.5 million a year earlier.

Meanwhile, PlayStation monthly active users increased, and operating profit in the Game & Network Services segment rose sharply.

The results point to improving profitability and continued growth in digital sales even as hardware shipments declined.
