No one has managed to beat Revolut in Spain yet. Monzo's response: "yet"

Monzo, the UK’s largest digital bank, has registered to operate in Spain as a bank branch.

The move is aimed at challenging Revolut and other neobanks already growing quickly in the Spanish market.

Monzo has not announced a launch date yet, but its entry could sharpen competition in Spanish digital banking.

The expansion comes as Revolut continues to put pressure on traditional lenders like BBVA, Santander and CaixaBank.
