Florida’s orange industry is in crisis as citrus greening has reportedly infected 100% of the state’s orange trees.

Orange production has fallen from 242 million boxes in 2023 to a USDA forecast of just 12 million boxes for 2026.

The disease, spread by the Asian citrus psyllid and also known as huanglongbing, has no cure and is devastating groves.
