The Artemis II mission has started its 10-day journey around the moon

Artemis II launched from Kennedy Space Center on April 1 and began a planned 10-day trip around the moon.

The Orion spacecraft carries four crew members: Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen.

Orion separated from the SLS upper stage and Glover tested manual piloting while the crew reported views of Earth and a waste‑management system issue.

The mission is scheduled to splash down in the Pacific on April 10.
