Google TV hits 300 million active devices as growth stalls

Google said active Google TV and Android TV devices have reached 300 million worldwide, up from 270 million about 18 months ago.

That 11% gain suggests the platform is still large, but its growth is clearly slowing as it matures.

The update came at Google I/O 2026 alongside only modest improvements, including better support for pointer remotes.

Google TV remains strong in some regions and on devices from brands like Hisense and TCL, but its long-term expansion may be under pressure.
