Anthropic joins Blender development fund, promoting AI-driven 3D creation with Claude connector

Anthropic has joined Blender’s Development Fund as a corporate patron.

It also released a Claude connector for Blender, enabling natural-language control of 3D tasks via Blender’s Python API.

The connector is built on MCP, so it can work with other LLMs as well.

The move deepens AI integration in 3D production while backing Blender’s open-source ecosystem.
