Google has launched a desktop Google app for Windows and begun a global rollout of the Gemini app for Mac.

Both apps let users open Gemini with keyboard shortcuts and share their screens for contextual assistance.

The Windows version adds local file and app search plus Google Lens to better fit desktop workflows.

The Mac version adds image generation with Nano Banana and video generation with Veo.
