The next MacBook Neo could get a RAM upgrade. Yeah, in this economy, no less!

Apple is reportedly preparing a MacBook Neo refresh with the A19 Pro chip, the same processor used in the iPhone 17 Pro.

The entry-level laptop may also move its base unified memory from 8GB to 12GB, improving multitasking and on-device AI use.

The chip is expected to be a binned version with a 5-core GPU, so performance should stay in the entry-level range.

If true, the upgrade could make Apple’s cheapest Mac laptop a better value without pushing buyers to a pricier model.
