xAI is suing Minnesota over its new nudification law, saying the statute would pressure it to change Grok and chill protected speech.

The company argues the law’s strict liability and large penalties could force costly safeguards even though it prefers to rely on its own moderation rules.

xAI says the rules would restrict AI image-editing features and raise First Amendment concerns.
