GitHub outage incorrectly reports accounts being suspended

GitHub Actions hit a multi-hour outage on May 26, disrupting CI/CD jobs and preventing workflows from starting.

Some users also saw false suspension notices, which GitHub later said were caused by authentication issues.

GitHub said no data was lost, though some issues and discussions were briefly hidden during the incident.

Restoration is underway and a full review of the outage is still in progress.
