CES 2026: AMD Client and Graphics Update Includes Ryzen 9850X3D CPU - PC Perspective

AMD unveiled the Ryzen 7 9850X3D at CES 2026.

The chip is an 8-core, 16-thread Zen 5 desktop processor with 3D V-Cache and higher clocks.

It keeps a 120W power envelope while aiming to outperform the Ryzen 7 9800X3D.

Shipments are set to begin in Q1 2026 through OEMs, system integrators, and retail partners.

The launch further strengthens AMD’s gaming lead on AM5 and raises pressure on desktop rivals.
